Dot Powell

As a child in primary school, I was a runner up in a national painting competition. I won a picnic hamper full of Fry's chocolate! Over fifty years later, on retirement, I decided to try my hand again and embarked on a 'Learn to Draw' course. As I had no idea what type of media I would enjoy I joined a mixed media class. I have found that I really enjoy experimenting with acrylics, pen and wash and acrylic inks but my favourite medium has to be watercolour.
Being a member of the Abergavenny Art Group has enabled me to exhibit some of my work which is thoroughly enjoyable.
