Ralph Herron He has always been interested in art, but had little time to develop it while he was working. He says, "In the past I have attended evening classes in pencil drawing taken by Mrs Stinchcombe, and oil painting, and have always had a great interest in art history."
However, he paints now exclusively in acrylics. "My favourite subjects are landscapes and abstracts, though I have tried a couple of portraits, with limited success."
He joined Abergavenny Art Group in 2007 and in 2022 he is Chairman. He indicates that his ambitions for the art group are that "it should continue to offer a varied programme of activities, be accessible to all, and that its members should have more opportunities to exhibit and sell their work."
