Abergavenny Art Group: video

Our promotional video filmed some years ago gives you a lot of information about the group.
Play it and see for yourself:

If you live in Abergavenny or the neighbouring towns of Govilon, Llanellen, Blaenavon, Brynmawr, Blaina, Gilwern, or Crickhowell, why not come along for a visit and watch us work. It does not matter if you are a beginner or a professional artist.  We are a friendly bunch of people and welcome all ages.  Details of our programme of events are given.

lowrey2A demonstration of watercolour painting by Arnold Lowrey brought a  sizeable audience to the Art Group's evening meeting.  After explaining his preference for brushes, paints and paper, he set about giving a quick explanation of the techniques he uses.  Then he amazed many of the Art Group by undertaking both a landscape and a seascape in a little over an hour!

There's something for you!

llanover gardenWhether you like to do watercolours, acrylics, oil painting, pastels, sketching, multi-media or perhaps you just like art, there is something for everyone.  For example, the Art Group members had a painting day at Llanover Court in September to capture some of the colours of an Autumn garden.
